Australian made Texcel Windrow Compost Cover - 4m x 100 m
Windrow Compost Covers covers are ideal for covering your compost windrows to protect the compost from the elements. Create efficient outdoor compost at a fraction of the cost of under roof systems. These Compost Covers are made from Texcel, which is an innovative, protective membrane which covers over the windrow, retaining heat and humidity and shedding excess rainwater.
Texcel Windrow Compost Covers prevent adverse weather conditions from damaging the windrow and interrupting the compost cycle, and promote faster more uniform aerobic decomposition. The Texcel cover is light weight, semi permeable, allowing for ideal aeration and inert to acid and alkaline agents. Efficient outdoor compost at a fraction of the cost of under roof systems.
You dont need to remove the Compost Cover to turn the windrow. Using a fleece roller allows the operator to raise and lower the Texcel geotextile cover using your Windrow Compost Turner.
The fleece roller is an optional extra that allows you to feed the end of the cover through a device mounted on top of the Windrow Turner unit, and the tractor pulls the turner along underneath the cover. Simply place a couple of the weights that you use to keep the windrow cover in place throughout the day onto the end of the cover again & the turner will simply pass underneath while aerating the windrow.
