Humates are the hottest new input in horticulture and now they are available for the home garden. Humic acid is an amazing natural material which increases moisture and nutrient retention, promotes beneficial soil life and increases nutrient uptake. Most gardeners are aware of the importance of humus, the dark-coloured compound which is the main determinant of soil fertility. Life-Force® Instant HumusTM, derived from energy-packed ancient plant matter, is a soluble, granular form of humic acid. A single granule of this potent concentrate will turn a glass of water black. This organic fertility builder can be applied to the soil as a dry granule or it can be dissolved and applied with a watering can.

Application Rate
- Soil: Dissolve 1 tablespoon in a 7 litre watering can and apply to soil.
- Foliar: Dissolve half a teaspoon in 1 litre of water and foliar spray on leaf surface, concentrating on the underside of the leaf.

- When dissolving granules stir well before use.
- The liquid form of Instant Humus™ is incompatible with acidic materials including some sulphate based trace elements and phosphate fertilisers.
- 10-15% of the humates are insoluble. The remaining insoluble sludge is a valuable addition to compost.
