Product Description
Nutri-Life VAM-Tech™
NEW IMPROVED BLEND – ADDITIONAL STRAINS
The biological base of problem-free agriculture.
Huge numbers of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) (4 species), Trichoderma and others
(5 species) together in one breakthrough blend. Root health is plant health and these
organisms are the essence of healthy roots.
Glomus intraradices, Glomus etunicatum, Glomus aggregatum, Glomus mosseae, Azospirillum species, Bacillus species, Pseudomonas species, Streptomyces cellulosae, Trichoderma species.
Benefits
- Australian Certified Organic (ACO) Registered Farm Input 456AI.
- Builds humus – Glomalin produced by AMF generates 1/3 of the world’s soil carbon.
- Increase root zone with all of the associated benefits.
- Can reduce fertiliser requirements through improved nutrient uptake.
- Boosts phosphate and zinc availability.
- Lifts calcium levels in plants.
- Improves bio-balance and associated plant resilience in the root zone.
- Serves as a synergist to improve nitrogen fixation.
Mycorrhizal root extenders which magnify access to nutrients and moisture while simultaneously promoting growth of existing roots.
Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhiza (VAM) are fungi that grow as fine filaments which attach to the plant roots forming a pipe-like network, effectively extending the original root coverage by several hundred percent. This filament system retains and delivers moisture and nutrients supplied to the fungi by the plant. The host plant produces a larger root structure in response to promoting compounds excreted by the fungi which are attempting to increase the available surface area to which they can attach. VAM are capable of extending the nutrient scavenging capacity of the plant on a purely physical basis, but they also release compounds which dissolve the elements prone for forming insoluble compounds - phosphorus and zinc are primary examples. VAM improve soil structure through the release of organic glues that bind the soil particles into aggregates forming a highly desirable crumb structure.
APPLICATION RATES
Broadacre Seed Treatment:
50 g/ha mixed in sufficient water for good coverage (approximately 5 – 10 L/tonne of seed).
Seed-Start™ is a synergistic nutrition-based treatment which should be used with Platform® for optimum response.
Slowly add Seed-Start™ at 3 – 5 L/tonne of seed to the Platform® solution before applying this mixture to the seed (total mixture is not to exceed
15 L/tonne).
Soil Application:
40 – 200 g/ha
Up to 1 kg/ha for Golf Greens
Dissolve 200 grams in 10 L of water, stir well and add to the fertigation/spray tank.
Agitate throughout application. Do not apply with fertilisers containing high levels of soluble phosphate.
Do not store premixed product.
Horticulture
Use sufficient water to wash product into the top 2 – 4 cm of soil.
Pasture
Ideally apply product before rain (or irrigation) to achieve incorporation to 3 mm.
Liquid Inject:
50 g/ha. Include with Springboard™ at recommended rates for best results.
Seedling/Runner Treatment:
Dip seedlings/runners/tubestock in a solution containing 50 grams of Platform® per 100 L of water.
Stir solution regularly throughout process.
COMPOSITION
Contains Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) and Trichoderma species.
IMPORTANT
See www.nutri-tech.com.au/platform for details of pesticides which are compatible with Platform®.
Contains live organisms. Do not mix with fungicides/bactericides, toxic chemicals or soil fumigants.
Sanitise spray tank before application. All microbial products should be added to the tank last after all other inputs
have been diluted. Ideally, apply in the late afternoon.
Do not exceed 60 psi. While handling and applying microbial products protective clothing, gloves and face masks should be worn.
Wash hands after use.
INSTRUCTIONS
Platform® forms a suspension when mixed with water (i.e. it does not dissolve).
Constant agitation is required during application to prevent equipment blockages.
Platform® spore sizes can be up to 260 μm (0.26 mm) therefore it is recommended that an in-line filtration system of 30 mesh (0.5 mm) be fitted to ensure delivery lines are free of contaminants. Ensure there are no places in the hosing which may sag and cause product to settle if left for a period of time.
Flushing of lines after use will also prevent contamination.
STORAGE & HANDLING
Immuno-compromised persons (e.g. those undergoing chemotherapy) should not handle or be exposed to microbial products. While handling, brewing and applying microbial products protective clothing, gloves and face masks should be worn. Contains live organisms. Avoid aerosols generated by aeration. Store in cool, dry place away from sunlight and below 30ºC (preferably under refrigeration). Use as soon as possible after opening but if this cannot be achieved then refrigerate remainder immediately after use and use within 3 months. Contamination of contents may occur at any time after opening and NTS takes no responsibility for opened product not used immediately.
DO NOT FREEZE.
