he process of turning organic waste; everything from yard trimmings, woody residuals, biosolids and manures into compost involves moisture, heat and acids which can be highly corrosive.
To improve the overall life of the turner the entire tunnel is made from painted galvanised steel, a painted galvanised roof eliminates a large pooling area where compost can accumulate, get wet and then cause corrosion. Pooling areas are also removed from the sides of the compost turner.
The heart of this turner is the superb patented drum and paddle design that efficiently breaks up and mixes your compost ingredients while providing maximum aeration and product blending.
Water can be easily added to the compost windrow using the water wagon the watering system is maintenance free, self cleaning and does not use complicated water jets.
A side mounted trailing arm makes it simple to attach a water wagon on board water supply.
Utilising a hydraulic steering system means the CT-270 does not need to use power robbing counterweights that can add up to 4000kg to the turner or an expensive towing system to enable the unit to pass through gates or travel down access roads, the hydraulic steering will simply steer the turner in behind the tractor like a trailer.
Turners are fitted with front and rear rubber guards, the front guards stop any foreign objects that may be in the compost from hitting the rear of the tractor while the rear guards stop valuable compost material being thrown back away from the compost windrow when first entering the windrow.
The design and thickness of the rubber guards also allow the turner to form perfectly shaped windrows.
Side scrapers also make sure no material is left unturned.
A Compost Cover System can be supplied as an optional extra.
